Tomorrow is My Birthday – Anyone Want To Guess How Old I’ll Be?!

I just finished blow drying my hair and putting on my makeup. Just getting ready for dinner.
I stopped to get something to drink out of the fridge when I was struck by my two sponsor kids pictures on the door – Christine and Donald.
Their sweet faces made me pause.
I’m not sure that they can imagine debating over where they should eat for their birthdays.

30 hour Famine

I’m turning 29 tomorrow.
And the great thing about having your birthday at the half point of the year is that it gives you a moment to refresh all your new year’s resolutions that have gone bad.
And it’s not so much New Year’s resolutions that I want to refresh, so much as my heart.
We talked a lot at Revolve this year about doing small things to change the world, doing things together to make a big impact, and allowing God to change our hearts with what we are given right where we are at.

I don’t know where you guys are at or what you are up to, but it’s easy with summer just moments away and school ending and all that we have going on – to forget.
To forget that everyday a lot a lot a lot of kids die because they are so so so hungry.
To forget that every fifteen seconds, a child dies because of hunger related illness.
And I forget this you guys. I forget.
So that’s why I’m fasting for 30 hours this weekend.
Because there are things we can do and this is one of them.

I hope you will join me!
Maybe your youth group is getting together and having a big lock in.
Maybe they’re not.
That’s totally okay! You can still do this!
Just grab some friends, some orange juice and a big pile of movies and snuggle up for the night and CHANGE THE WORLD.
And then have sweet dreams because kids all over the world will get to see their next birthday because YOU stopped for just a second… to remember them. And love hungry.

Send me a message and let me know if you are participating in the famine – we can have a late night Twitter chat (@courtclarkcleve)! So fun!
