It will not really be you speaking but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you (Matt.10:20).
Have you ever been in a situation where you just didn’t know what to say? Maybe you were “smack-dab” in the middle of witnessing to someone, and suddenly you didn’t know what to do? This has happened to everybody. In this verse, Jesus was telling his followers that he was sending them out to be witnesses, and he assured them they should not be worried about what to say or how to say it. Why? Because the Holy Spirit was going to give them the words to say. One of the cool parts of being a Christian is that you don’t have to live on your own. Jesus is right their with you. He’s never going to leave you or stand you up. He’s always ready to speak to you and through you. So the next time you’re sharing Jesus with a friend, or someone at school is drilling you about Christianity, remember he is the One who speaks. The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say. Just calm down, and let him do it. He always will, because his Word never fails!
