- Print posters and fliers to put up around the church/school/anywhere girls hang out. Make sure they include your contact info so people know who to contact to register or find out more about the event.
- Find influential girls, get them excited about Revolve, and let them promote it for you.
- Play the promo DVD for girls and moms (during youth services or other events) and have all girls who are interested sign up. Take fliers to hand out so they have a take-home piece. If there are girls who have been to past events, have them share their Revolve Tour experience with the group.
- Play the promo DVD at church services, women’s events, adult Bible studies, etc. so adults in the church can be made aware of Revolve and its benefits for the girls. If possible, have a girl who has been to Revolve share what it meant to her.
- Encourage the girls to bring their friends from outside the church/organization. Revolve is a perfect outreach opportunity: it meets in an arena, has lots of fun music, is an all-girls weekend, etc. Often, girls who would never set foot in a church will come to Revolve—and often, after Revolve, they join the youth group. Challenge each girl to bring at least one friend with her.
- Encourage adults to sponsor a girl. This sponsorship could include: praying for her, sending her notes of encouragement, helping her pay her way to Revolve, etc. This is particularly good for those who don’t have children and/or don’t want to go to Revolve themselves, but do have a heart for teens who need to hear about God’s love for them.
- Hold a Revolve slumber party to get the girls excited. During the party, show one of Chad Eastham’s DVDs. (He’s hilarious, informative, and a fave Revolve speaker.)
- If your church is part of a denomination with a central or local office, talk to the person in charge of youth for your denomination/area. They can help you promote Revolve to other churches in your area.
- If your church works with others from your city/area for special events (even churches from other denominations) or your organization partners with similar groups, ask your contact (youth pastor or leader) for contacts at the other churches/organizations. The Revolve Tour is an interdenominational event they can feel comfortable sending their girls to—and, of course, they’re welcome to come along as sponsors. (Sponsors purchase registrations, too, so every person who comes along adds to your total.)
- Although 1 adult is required for every 10 girls, we recommend that for every 50 registrations you shoot for a ratio of 10 adults to 40 girls. This will make your life much easier as you can then make each adult responsible for 4 girls.
- Prayer makes a difference! Encourage the adults who will be attending Revolve to start praying for “their girls” as soon as they’re assigned to them.
- Make sure to personally invite the girls to come to Revolve. Big ‑ ashy promotional activities and materials are great, but nothing beats a personal invitation.
